Gunter Pauli is a serial entrepreneur and author.

In 2010 Pauli published the book "The Blue Economy" that promotes a business model that will shift society from scarcity to abundance by tackling issues that cause environmental problems in new and innovative ways. He advocates the twin aims of stimulating entrepreneurship while setting up new standards towards sustainability.

Pauli has written 20 books printed in 34 languages and 37 fables for children. Some estimate that 17 million copies of his fables have distributed worldwide. Pauli was the founder of the "Mozarteum Belgicum", founder and president of Worldwatch Europe. In 1994 Pauli initiated the Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives in Tokyo with the support of the Japanese Government and the United Nations University (UNU), redesigning production and consumption into clusters of industries inspired by natural systems.
